Burcu Tüğen is a member of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) team of the School of Foreign Languages (SoFL) at Yaşar University where she is responsible for designing and reviewing EAP curricula and testing and assessment instruments. During her tenure in SoFL, she has served as the Preparatory Class Coordinator for nine years and worked as members of the curriculum and materials development offices in the Prep Class. Prior to joining SoFL in 2007, she worked in a language school teaching general English to adults as well as young learners. She is a teacher, manager and trainer with fifteen years of experience in English Language Teaching. She is a graduate of American Culture and Literature department at Hacettepe University where she received her ELT Certificate. She earned her MA in ELT at Ege University. She has been a SIT Graduate Institute certified TESOL Certificate Course Trainer since 2014.
