Brian Neal Long (July 2012)

Brian Long is an international educational consultant, currently completing his doctorate in education at Teachers College Columbia University. He is interested in learning, how it happens, and how to set up learning-centered environments in formal classroom settings. Though now based in New York, Brian lived for fifteen years in Japan and Thailand, and his consulting work continues to take him around the world.  Convinced that the proper definition of rigor is validity rather than, Brian works with teachers and schools to adapt their practices toward a learning-centered, joy-centered approach to education.
